The Argentine revealed a private conversation with the defender. “I won’t reveal what we talked about, the important thing is that he wanted to talk to me. He has known me for over 10 years, knows who I am. We have a very strong coaching staff and how we operate.

The controversy began after a post by Thiago Silva’s wife on Twitter, interpreted as a reference to Chelsea’s current situation. The post read, “It’s time to change. The Blues are currently in 11th place in the Premier League and have conceded eight goals in the last two matches. Faced with negative results, the pressure on Pochettino has been increasing, and a dismissal is not ruled out. In addition to the crisis Chelsea is currently facing, Thiago Silva’s contract expires in June this year, which further fueled the controversy surrounding the defender’s wife’s statement. This is because there is still no decision on whether the Brazilian will renew with the London club.
