The goals of the Imortal were scored by André and João Pedro Galvão, in the first seven minutes of the second half. With the result, Grêmio reaches 15 points and opens a five-point gap to Internacional, the runner-up of the Campeonato Gaúcho.
Meanwhile, Novo Hamburgo remains at eight points and stays in fifth place in the state table. Renato Gaúcho’s team did not take their foot off the gas and built the victory early in the second half, with goals from André and JP Galvão.
Without a response, Novo Hamburgo was unable to threaten the goalkeeper Marchesín, and the Imortal had no problems holding onto the result at home. Later at 9:30 PM, Novo Hamburgo faces Juventude.
