Tennis: Luisa Stefani and Bia Haddad Maia win comeback victory in their debut in Abu Dhabi

The tournament has a prize of $922,000 (about R$4.6 million). In the next phase, they will face the partnership of Americans Caroline Dolehide and Desirae Krawczyk.

Danilina was Bia’s partner throughout the 2022 season, with a runner-up at the Australian Open, a title in Sydney, and a runner-up in Guadalajara. The Kazakh also played with Luisa in some tournaments last year.

This was the first time the Brazilians played together in a WTA event. Bia and Luisa formed a doubles partnership in the Billie Jean King Cup in 2018 and 2019, winning all four matches they played.

They played together in two world circuit tournaments, both in 2019, winning the W100 in Ilkley, England, on grass, and finishing as runners-up in Cagnes-sur-Mer, France, in a W80 event on clay. And more:
